SUMMARY:Bennington Lake Nature Walk
DESCRIPTION:Come learn about the natural beauty and ecology of Bennington Lake. Diane Briggs and Chris Howard of the Blue Mountain Audubon Society will each lead an interpretive walk of the trails around the lake\, pointing out and helping us identify native species. You will also get to see the beginnings of the gorgeous fall foliage that surrounds Bennington every autumn. Bennington Lake is a 50-acre man-made reservoir a few miles east of Walla Walla. The lake is fed by Mill Creek and is part of the greater Walla Walla Watershed. Bennington is a popular local spot for birders\, hikers\, and fishermen because of its beauty and diversity of species. All ages and well-behaved dogs on leash welcome.
