DESCRIPTION:Providence St. Mary Foundation and The Mom's Network are partnering for this year's annual Comedy Night set for Saturday\, March 11\, 2017. This year's event will feature acclaimed stand-up Comedian Demetri Martin and the popular lip sync contest. The presenting sponsor is Columbia REA. Proceeds will benefit both local non-profits to ensure the best care possible for moms and babies of the Walla Walla Valley. An exciting joint project will be announced at the event. About the Comedian Demetri Martin is a regular performer on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and started doing stand-up comedy in New York City. He has worked as a staff writer at Late Night with Conan O'Brien. After that he became a regular performer on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He has won numerous awards\, has released two standup comedy albums and three hour-long standup comedy specials\, including his latest for Netflix in 2015 titled Demetri Martin Live (at the time). He created and starred in his own television series for Comedy Central\, has appeared in several feature films and television shows\, written two books and recently wrote and directed his first feature film\, titled Dean.
