DESCRIPTION:The Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to its annual awards ceremonies by merging the Business Awards Showcase and the Community Awards into a single event. This new celebration will honor both local businesses and community leaders\, showcasing the incredible contributions they make to our vibrant region.\n\n \n\nThe event\, now titled the Community Excellence Awards\, will highlight a diverse range of achievements across various categories. We will recognize outstanding businesses and individuals who exemplify excellence and commitment to the community\, including:\n\n\n\nBusiness Awards:\n\n  Agribusiness of the Year\n\n  Business of the Year\n\n  Duane Wollmuth Catalyst Award\n\n  Non-Profit Organization of the Year\n\n  Start-Up Business of the Year\n\n  Business Leader of the Year\n\n\n\nCommunity Awards:\n\nHometown Heroes\n\n  Educator of the Year\n\n  Law Enforcement Officer of the Year\n\n  Firefighter of the Year\n\n \n\nHigher Education Community Service Award\n\n  Walla Walla Community College\n\n  Whitman College\n\n  Walla Walla University\n\n \n\nThe Community Excellence Awards will again take place on December 11th at the historic Baker Boyer Bank downtown\, Walla Walla doors open at 5:30p. The evening will be a celebration of our local spirit\, bringing together business leaders\, community advocates\, and residents to honor those who inspire us all.\n\nNominations for the awards are currently open and will remain open until November 22nd. We encourage community members to submit nominations to recognize the outstanding contributions of local businesses and individuals.\n\n \n\nTickets for the Community Excellence Awards will be available starting October 30th.
