DESCRIPTION:Ever had to manage conflict? Please join us for a "Lunch and Learn" session led by Paul Shelp and Donna Maiden\, Executive Directors of the Neutral Ground Dispute Resolution Centers of Tri-Cities and Walla Walla. This event is beneficial for anyone who ever had to manage conflict! Hosted by the Blue Mountain Human Resources Association. Paul is an expert and certified mediator for numerous years and leads many training programs in mediation and conflict management. Paul and Donna will provide valuable training to us on the topics of Listening and Communications Skills\, Understanding Positions\, Issues and Interests\, and an enlightening conflict assessment inventory called\, "Style Matters". As professionals\, we know that the most challenging aspects of management are working with people. We also know that the greatest assets of any organization are its people. Not matter how much education and training we have\, all of us (and our organizations) can always benefit with training on interpersonal communications including conflict resolution. Attendees should feel free to bring a lunch however\, light snacks will be provided.
