DESCRIPTION:Walk\, run or cycle to support local people with cancer. Gran Fondo (the great journey) raises money for the Cancer Special Needs Fund of Providence St. Mary Foundation. The Fund helps patients who are in need by paying for rent\, utilities\, food\, medicine and other urgent expenses not covered by insurance. Participants choose from several fun events-a Walk of Strength\, 5k fun run or 35 or 62-mile bicycle rides. Events start and end at Walla Walla Community College and the day ends with a free celebratory lunch for all participants. Last year\, more than 300 people came together and raised more than $30\,000 for our friends\, neighbors and loved ones who have cancer. With your help\, we can make an even bigger impact.
