We will visit several Native American-owned and run enterprises over the course of the day. Our first stop will be Crow's Shadow\, an arts institute which features Native American art and aims to foster tribal members' creativity. Next\, we will tour the Tribal Native Plant Nursery\, which is run by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR). The Nursery works to restore native habitats and species across southeast Washington and northeast Oregon\, and was chosen to be the pilot nursery for the Sage Grouse Initiative\; they are currently growing desert shrubs to aid in that important effort. We will have lunch at Sundown Grill before making our last stop at Tam stslikt Cultural Institute. Tam stslikt offers people the ability to view the 10\,000-year history of local Native American culture not just as a relic of the past\, but as an ongoing and vibrant force in the region making it "living history."
