DESCRIPTION:WEDNESDAYS\, 4:30-5:30pm (Ages 6-9)\n\n10 Weeks: Oct. 5 - Dec. 14 (No Class Nov. 23)\n\n\n\nStudents will experience a variety of high-quality art materials for painting and drawing including chalk and oil pastels\, watercolor\, gouache\, and acrylic paints\, ink and charcoal. While learning about values and textures\, color mixing\, brush control\, and the basics of composition\, they will be exposed to diverse art styles and the works of famous artists both past and present\, inspiring their own masterpieces. Students will complete a new artwork every 1-2 weeks. All artwork will be ready to take home as a portfolio at the end of the session.\n\n\n\nLearning: Color Theory\, Brush Control & Blending\, Shading & Values\, Composition\, Shape Mapping\, Perspective\, Proportions\, Realism\, Impressionism\, Art History\n\n\n\nRegistration is for a full session\, not individual classes.
