SUMMARY:SLC Public Workshop Series: Basics of Low Water Landscaping
DESCRIPTION:If you think a low water landscape is nothing but cactus\, decorative grass\, sagebrush and rock\, then join us at the WWCC Water & Environmental Center to learn more and change your mind! Low water landscapes can be lush and beautiful year-round while needing less maintenance\, fertilizers and pesticides. Plus\, they provide wildlife habitat and can increase property value. Our guest speaker\, Dave Stockdale\, director of the Water & Environmental Center\, will present the seven key principles of low water landscaping (including design concepts\, plant selections\, and more). After an informative classroom session\, we will see those principals applied at the WEC low water demonstration garden. You'll also discover the wide array of plants possible. Please note the slight time change from our normal workshops! It will run from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The workshop is free and open to the public\, no registration required.
