DESCRIPTION:TUESDAYS\, 4:30-5:30pm (Ages 10-14)\n\n11 Weeks: Oct. 4 - Dec. 13\n\n\n\nIn this Studio Art class\, students will receive focused instruction in cartooning and illustration\, exploring drawing styles inspired by well-known cartoons\, comics\, and movie animation. Students will draw and paint with diverse materials such as acrylic & watercolor paints and paint markers\, ink and pens\, pastels\, and more. They will create expressive characters\, paint landscapes and backgrounds that enhance imaginative stories and worlds\, and practice established art styles like Japanese Manga and American Pop Art. Completion of artworks will be rolling\, usually every 2-3 weeks. All artwork will be ready to take home as a portfolio at the end of the session.\n\n\n\nLearning: Character Design\, Illustrating Emotion & Expression\, Comic Book Storytelling\, Shading & Values\, Perspective\, Scale & Proportions\, Color Theory\, Landscape Elements\, Painting & Brush Control\, Art History\, Contemporary Art\n\n\n\nRegistration is for a full session\, not individual classes.
