DESCRIPTION:The next Italian Wine Immersion Series class is March 16\, 2024\, 6 pm - 8 pm\, and everything you want to know about Italian Wines\, with Pendleton's Professional Sommelier\, Steve Machajewski. This wine class is focused on Lombardy\, the dynamic wine region in North Central Italy - it's home to a handful of popular and well-known wine styles including the bright\, cherry-scented Valtellina (Valtellina... growing wine since the fifth century BC... before the time of Alexander the Great)\, where you will also learn about the chiavennasca grape and the high-quality sparkling wine of Franciacorta and Oltrepo Pavese Metodo Classico.
