Join the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce for an informative night to learn about the new B57 Program which will be curated by College Place High School Studio 57 students. B57 is an innovative program that was developed in partnership with the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce to partner students with businesses to facilitate mentorships, internships and original idea generation. This is all accomplished through a process called Design Thinking which was developed at Stanford University.
The event begins at 5:30 pm and concludes at 7:00 pm. This is a “drop-in” opportunity for businesses to join students for a tour of the facilities, see firsthand the equipment and technologies at play, as well as student work. Attendees will also have the opportunity to sample the delicious food from College Place High School’s catering program. Please join us as we help create and cement this partnership between our talented and bright students and local businesses.
The mission of Studio 57 is to create a senior class experience around design thinking that allows students to solve real-world problems through QUALITY WORK. Students will be skilled, not stuck. Students end their more traditional school day after lunch and “enter” an experience where they will be able to practice and demonstrate the following 21st century skills: collection of information, collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking and character. CPHS, feels these are necessary skills to become a productive member of society as students move into their 5th year plan and pathway post high school.
