For Frankie Laufer, it’s all about the process of painting. The College Place, WA, abstract oil artist finds that paint gives expression to intuitive feelings of silence, form, structure, and organizing power. The creative process, he says, has its own language which transcends words. Through February 8, Wenaha Gallery is featuring a wall of his bold, colorful, vivid works. (The gallery is closed Christmas and New Year's days, and closes early on Christmas Eve -- 3 p.m. -- and New Year's Eve -- 2 p.m. Through January, the gallery closes early -- 4 p.m. -- on Fridays.)
