The Museum's Living History troupe presents Californian-Chinese entrepreneur, Charles Tung, played by 5th-generation local Galen Tom, will tell all about translating for Walla Walla's sizeable Chinese population in the 1880s. Tung was a leader in the local Chinese community after moving to Walla Walla from his birthplace San Francisco. Fluent in both Chinese and English, he helped the non-English-speaking populace of some 800 Chinese find work and work around discriminatory anti-Chinese laws.

Standard admission, $12 adults, $10 seniors and students, ages 6-12 $5, under 6 free. Members with their annual cards pay no admission.
