mr. Gnome / Sama Dams - indie music concert

Singer/guitarist Nicole Barille and drummer/pianist Sam Meister are mr. Gnome, a Cleveland, Ohio art-rock duo known for stylized music videos, fantasy-themed photography, and concept albums. Forging beauty out of chaos with explosive fusion of widescreen concepts and surreal psychedelia, mr. Gnome incorporate layered vocals, searing guitars, and driving rhythms to transport the listener to fantastical worlds. They were named as a "band to watch" by Rolling Stone magazine in 2011.

Joining mr. Gnome are Northwest prog- and post-punk maestros Sama Dams. With brilliantly tempered blasts of soothing instrumentals and swaying experimental rock freakouts, the band shows a remarkable dexterity for explorations of technically proficient rock reminiscent of Radiohead. 

Middle of Nowhere Sessions was created in 2011 by Reggie Mace and Beth Rahn in Dayton, OH with the goal of strengthening the independent music scene in the Pacific Northwest. The original concerts and recording sessions took place at Mace Mead Works in Dayton, and a partnership with Gesa Power House Theatre now expands concert venue options to Walla Walla.
