Aimee Croteau works magic with colored pencils. Even close up, it’s difficult to believe that the Post Falls, ID, artist’s photo-realistic wildlife portraits aren’t photos. The highly detailed and intricate drawings celebrate the world of nature, inviting the viewer to stop, slow down, breathe deep, and experience the wonder. Through August 23, Wenaha Gallery is showcasing a selection of Croteau’s work, including wild cats, butterflies, a big-eyed reptile, and even a wolf with wings.
