Enjoy an evening of paddling on the Walla Walla and Columbia Rivers! We will put in at the Madame Dorion launch just past the junction of Highways 12 and 730. Heading down between the forested banks of the Walla Walla and out onto the open Columbia, we will have views of the Two Sisters, Wallula Gap, and the Horse Heaven Hills. We will eat dinner on the water, learn about kayaking and currents, and explore the two rivers that define so much of the ecology and hydrology of this region. We will have SUPs and inflatable kayaks available; Whitman College guides will provide basic instruction. All gear included. No experience necessary, but adequate physical fitness for several hours of paddling (with breaks) is required. Children ages 12 and up are welcome as long as they are able to paddle themselves. Spaces limited!
