On Monday, December 12th, at 7pm, Walla Walla Community Hospice will host the Tree of Life Remembrance Ceremony at the Marcus Whitman Hotel in the Renaissance Room. The Ceremony includes a reading of all the names of those commemorated illuminated by candlelight, and will be complemented with music by principal cellist and manager of the Walla Walla Symphony, Dr. Edward Dixon. Light refreshments will follow. This year’s event is hybrid: in-person and on Zoom. RSVPs to attend in person are welcome, though not required. The Zoom address for the Ceremony is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87834065666 The Tree of Life Remembrance Ceremony and year-end fundraiser is a long-standing Hospice tradition. During the months of November and December, for a $10 donation, individuals may pay tribute to a loved one who has passed. The name of the honored person is printed on a decorative paper ornament and placed on the Tree of Life found in the lobby of the historic Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center in Walla Walla. The names are also inscribed in the Book of Life, which sits adjacent to the Tree. This is a wonderful way to memorialize loved ones during the holiday season while supporting the important work of Hospice.
