This event focuses on one of wine trade?s key debates ? the best way to seal wine bottles. It?s a controversial subject & there are vocal advocates of each closure system (glass, plastic closures, screwcaps & natural corks), but little information presenting a balanced picture & relying on scientific data, rather than anecdotal evidence or just plain prejudice. At Forgeron Cellars, we bottled a few cases of our 2001 Vinfinity Reserve Blend with plastic closures for a trial against regular cork closures in December of 2003. 11 years have passed & it?s now time to pop these closures & explore if differences can be detected between the 2 & if so, which closure did the better job of preserving the wine. Join Marie-Eve, Anne, & Cru @ Forgeron's Downtown Walla Walla Winery & Tasting Room to compare & discover for yourself!
