WWV Young Professionals | Storytelling Workshop
How do you tell your story effectively? Specifically, how do you tell the story of your work, identity, what drives you, and what you want without it becoming a jumbled mess that leaves you exhausted? In this workshop, Nikki Brueggeman, Assist. Director of Career Readiness & Employer Engagement at Whitman College will walk participants through the process of crafting a personal narrative about their work or business that relays the impact of what you bring to the table and how your work can support a client, your start-up or stand out to potential funding support.
About the Workshop Facilitator
Raised in the Valley, Nikki Brueggeman is a local historian whose work focuses on narratives of Queer and BIPOC experiences in the Pacific Northwest. Her work has been featured on National Public Radio and her work is archived at Washington State University, Whitman College, and Humanities Washington. She has also written for different publications across the United States and was part of an award winning journalist team at Parents Magazine, whose work earned an Eddie Ozzie Award in 2021. During the day, she works at Whitman College's Career and Community Engagement Center where she mentors students on telling their story and connecting with employers.
