Salary: $109,908 - $135,270 per year
Duty Location: Walla Walla, WA
Duties
- Performs a wide range of current year and multi-year, budgeting, programming and funds management in support of the District's Civil Works (CW) program
- Consults with Program Managers, Project Managers, and leadership to consolidate and formulate an overall District CW program from scoping, budgeting, initiation, design, construction, and/or operations and maintenance of various projects.
- Provides advice to the District Commander and Senior Leadership on the overall District program and on program management relative to life cycle project management funding and schedules.
- Provides technical advice to the Division and other Branch/Section Chiefs, program managers, project managers, and program analysts on program policy, funding, and scheduling.
- Develops and issues guidance on program formulation and execution.
- Searches out and develops new or modified methods of approaches in formulating the District's CW program.
- Conducts training sessions for District staff on program development and management.
- Exercises significant responsibility in dealing with officials of other organizations within and outside the District.
- Performs supervisory duties for a team of Project Managers and Program Analysts.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
