You can't really understand others until you've "walked a mile in their shoes." This international event is part of the United Gender Movement to end rape, sexual assault and gender violence, and it?s a playful opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about the serious problem of sexualized violence against women. Yes, men will be--literally--walking a mile in women's shoes. Men from the Washington State Penitentiary Employee Association, some of whom have witnessed the results of family violence, will lead the walk. Students from Walla Walla University will help distribute information along the route.
