Hometown Hero Award | Educator of the Year

The purpose of the Educator of the Year Award is to recognize excellence in the teaching profession and to inform our community of the exceptional quality of instruction delivered in the Walla Walla Valley.

Award Criteria:
Must be a certified teacher.
May teach any grade level up to grade 12.
Must teach during the 2023-2024 school year in a public or private school in the Walla Walla Valley.
A teacher whose method of teaching is tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
A teacher with the ability to inspire students of all backgrounds and to reach their full potential.
A teacher who exemplifies creativity, enthusiasm, commitment and development of a positive
learning environment.
A teacher who has made significant contributions in education and work with future leaders.
A teacher who constantly goes “above and beyond”.
Not a previous recipient of this award.
