Thank you to a Film Friendly Valley!
The work went beautifully. Both the weather and the community showed up perfectly on Wednesday and Thursday, and the teams at the City of Walla Walla and Walla Walla County were truly exceptional throughout the process.
A special thank you goes to our police, sheriff’s office, fire departments, public works teams, and all of the public-sector partners who integrated seamlessly into the production schedule with professionalism, flexibility, and genuinely great attitudes. Moving an army of people, technology, equipment, and vehicles is never simple, but this community made it feel that way — from pre-production planning through the final moments on set.
We are deeply grateful to Washington Filmworks and Motion State Productions for their confidence in our community, and to everyone who volunteered, adjusted schedules, answered questions, welcomed the crew, helped solve problems, or simply extended the kindness and cooperation for which the Walla Walla Valley is known.
Film WWV was built on the belief that film production can become a meaningful part of our region’s long-term economic development strategy — bringing new spending into the community, supporting local businesses, showcasing the Valley, and creating real-world pathways for students and emerging media professionals. This week’s production was an important step forward in that vision, and it supporting local businesses, showcasing the Valley, and creating real-world pathways for students and emerging media professionals. This week’s production was an important step forward in that vision, and it happened because this community chose to show up.
