'22-'23 Public Workshops Series: Recycled Fabric Wreaths
Join the Sustainable Living Center and Julie Christian to learn how to make a recycled fabric wreath. Julie is a designer, maker and observer who is happiest when wandering through nature and thrift or resupply stores to find inspiration and supplies for her art projects. In this workshop we’ll play with color and texture to create festive wreaths by repurposing materials such as sewing or thrifted fabric scraps or notions; ribbon, wire or string from packaging; damaged clothing; and stray buttons or jewelry. We’ll supply the wreath structure and other supplies. We also encourage you to look around your home for some of the materials mentioned above as repurposing objects from your own life can bring extra interest and meaning to your wreath. We are so grateful to have Julie share her expertise with our community through this workshop! Please JOIN US! SLC workshops utilize a 'pay what you can' model for workshop registration. We believe the cost of a workshop should not be an obstacle to discovery and learning! This workshop is open to the public. Registration is required.
