2nd annual Camp Fire USA BeneVint: Wine Auction & Night of Entertainment

Get ready for a fabulous evening of wine and entertainment!

Last year’s event was held at Charles Smith Wines’ tasting room in downtown Walla Walla, and it was such a hit that the event outgrew the space. BeneVint is taking place this year on Saturday, April 6 at the Pavilion Rotunda at the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds.

The event’s entertainment will consist of live music performed by Jerry Yokel (fiddle, mandolin and harmonica player of the up-and-coming FrogHollow Band) and Kevin Stauffer (talented local guitarist). They hope to delight guests with folk, jazz, blues and other melodies throughout the evening.

BeneVint will have several regional wines featured in auction packages. Wines from Leonetti, Rotie, and Seven Hills are among some of the auction offerings, as well as other fun items, like an in-home dinner prepared by Chef Chris Ainsworth of Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen.

Wineries pouring at the event include: Basel Cellars Estate Winery, Cadaretta Wines, Chocolate Shop Wine, Dunham Cellars, Mackey Vineyards, Three Rivers Winery, Trust Wine, and Va Piano Vineyards.

Paired with the wine, there will also be a fine selection of desserts and cheeses provided by: Brasserie 4, Bright’s, Cookie Tree, Frosted, Graze, Hidden Valley Bakery, John’s Wheatland Bakery, Monteillet Fromagerie, Olive, Salumiere Cesario, Walla Walla Bread Co., and the Wine Country Culinary Institute.

All proceeds from the evening’s event will go towards funding Camp Fire Walla Walla’s out-of-school programs that serve local youth.

Tickets for BeneVint are $35 and can be purchased on Camp Fire Walla Walla’s website (www.wwcampfire.org) or in-person at Camp Fire’s administrative office (414 S. Park Street, Walla Walla). Each ticket covers admission to the event, 10 wine tastings, as well as unlimited cheese and dessert tastings (until supplies run out).
