Camp Amanda
Camp Amanda is a special weekend experience for children ages 7-14 who have experienced a significant loss. The program helps children begin to talk about their feelings related to the death of someone special and teaches them coping skills for dealing with those feelings. Camp Amanda leaders include professional bereavement counselors and specially trained volunteers, and it is run from Walla Walla Community Hospice. Camp Amanda is always held on the last full weekend of July--this year’s camp is July 28-30, 2023. Please contact Camp Coordinator Luci with any Camp Amanda questions at 509-525-5561 or campamanda@wwhospice.org. Be sure to fully complete the registration form found linked on this page: www.wwhospice.org/campamanda. Note that campers will be registered as completed registrations are received. The deadline for registration is June 16, 2022, or until available spots are filled. *If you’re seeing this after June 16th, please contact Luci for information about other camps, to be put on the waitlist for next year and for support opportunities.
