Community Awards 2024
Join us to celebrate this year's Hometown Heroes and Higher Education Community Service Award recipients.
We will recognize nominees from each Hometown Hero Award category and announce the 2024 recipients.
Nominees for the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year are:
Officer Brandon Rhodes- College Place Police Department
Trooper Wes Cook- Washington State Patrol
Sergeant Mike Loudermilk- Walla Walla Police Department
Corporal Fredrico Diaz- Walla Walla County Sheriff
Nominees for Firefighter of the Year are:
Lieutenant Jim Nagle- Walla Walla Fire District 4
Michael Laizure- College Place Fire Department
Nominees for Educator of the Year are:
Eric Matson- SEATech
Jennifer Castleman- Walla Walla Valley Adventist Schools
Walla Walla Community College, Walla Walla University and Whitman College will each announce their recipient of the Higher Education Community Service Award.
Cancellation Policy: The WWVC (Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce) reserves the right to refuse/cancel registrations. If WWVC refuses a registration, registrants will be offered a refund.
The deadline to receive a refund for an individual ticket is (7) seven business days by 5 pm before the event. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. Refunds will not be available for registrants who are unable to attend an event for any reason. Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder. Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number.
