About the Musicians
Trumpet and saxophone player Nate Miller is from Walla Walla, Washington. He has been a part of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Summer Jazz Academy, the Conservatorium van Amsterdam Keep An Eye Summer Jazz Workshop, and the NAFME All Northwest Jazz ensemble. He was the winner of the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival Trumpet Soloist competition in 2017, 2018, and 2019. In 2020 he received the Outstanding Trumpet Award in the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition. He is also a self-taught saxophonist and enjoys playing both trumpet and saxophone in numerous jazz, blues and funk groups.
John Danilich is a guitarist, composer, and instructor based in Portland, Oregon. His constant exposure to music began fueling his passion for the art at a very young age. Inspired by the versatility of the guitar, John began studying classical guitar and later was mentored by Tim Ellis, a member of the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and famous jazz guitarist, Dan Balmer.
Since then, John has developed his passion for playing the guitar and has gone on to teach others the value of music. He currently instructs over 20 students under his music school, Omni Elite, while completing his double major in Business Administration and Music. John is a member of the Aaron Meyer Concert Rock Band and recently performed on Fox 12 news. He also performs at weddings, auctions, private parties, business events, charities, and wineries
