Sustainable Living Center Workshop Series - Gardening for Beginners

Join SLC as we learn from WSU Extension Office Master Gardeners Donna Tisher and Ann Skoglund, the possibilities for growing your own healthy and delicious food!  Designed for beginners or casual gardeners, in a friendly and informal setting, this session will explore site selection, size considerations, soil preparation and composting, which crops are best suited to our climate, what and where to purchase, and more.  We will also provide resources to assist in finalizing your garden plans. Ample time will be provided for questions and individualized problem solving. Our goal is that by the end of the session, participants will have the tools and the confidence to go forth, plant, and prepare to reap the multiple benefits of home gardening.  Bring your family and friends and resolve to harvest your own bounty in 2014.
