Press Release For immediate release For more information contact: Christine Janis, Vice President, Danza Classica Ballet Foundation (509) 301-8283 Sixth annual Tutus & Tapas to be held at new location Danza Classica Ballet Foundation will host our sixth annual Tutus and Tapas on Saturday, April 13 from 7-9:30pm at the Walla Walla Community College Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased online at dcbfww.org, at Earthlight Books in Walla Walla, and at the door. Tickets are $30/adult and $15/student and include one beverage and tapas created by WWCC culinary students. Several wines crafted by WWCC viticulture students will be available for purchase. The Danza Classica Ballet Company, WW valley’s only classically trained youth ballet company, will perform pieces ranging in style from classical ballet to lyrical ballet to modern. Repertoire is always new, fresh, and exciting under the direction of Artistic Director Idalee Hutson-Fish. The auditioned company members range in age from 10-18 and rehearse on the weekends in addition to attending regular ballet classes during the week. Proceeds benefit the Danza Classica Ballet Foundation and our mission to foster and advance the art of ballet in the WW Valley. Through generous patron support at our annual Tutus and Tapas gala, plus grants from local organizations, Danza Classica Ballet Foundation (DCBF) has been able to offer over 18 need-based scholarships to local youth supporting their dreams to dance; purchase a portable marley floor so the Company dancers can have a safe surface on which to dance; bring in professionals in the field of dance on 6 occasions to teach Master Classes and choreograph pieces for the Company; underwrite ballet productions; provide free children’s tickets to performances; as well as providing financial support for Company registration fees at Europe Dance Grand Prix in 2016 and 2018. Please join us at Tutus and Tapas on Saturday, April 13 for a celebration of ballet!
