Wolf Fork Canyon Study: The Photography of Tara J. Graves
Wolf Fork Canyon Study: The Photography of Tara J. Graves at Henry Earl Estate Wines.
We're once again honored to host the art of Tara J. Graves from October 4th through November 21st with an art opening night on Thursday, October 20th 5-7pm.
FROM TARA:
"In 1928 my great grandfather purchased land in Wolf Fork Canyon in the Blue Mountains outside of Dayton, Washington. Here, he built a one room log cabin next to Wolf Fork Creek. This cabin and the landscape around it were featured significantly in my youth as a place of awe and inspiration and as a seasonally shifting sanctuary for wildlife and human wanderers.

This cabin and the landscape around it were featured significantly in my youth as a place of awe and inspiration and as a seasonally shifting sanctuary for wildlife and human wanderers.
After returning to Walla Walla from 17 years in San Francisco and spending time at the family cabin, I started to take photos of the area. Lots of things had changed mostly due to fire and flooding altering the landscape. This started my ongoing Wolf Fork Canyon Study to document the land.
The series contains a traditional landscape shot accompanied by macro shots, revealing minute details held within the main image. It also showcases double exposures, water triptychs, and single photographs capturing the landscape."
No little ones during our art shows and/or art opening nights please.
