The purpose of the Educator of the Year Award is to recognize excellence in the teaching profession and to inform our community of the exceptional quality of instruction delivered in the Walla Walla Valley.
Nominations are being sought from Walla Walla High School, Lincoln High School, College Place High School, DeSales Catholic High School, and Walla Walla Valley Academy.
Award Criteria:
Must be a certified teacher.
May teach any grade level from grade 9 to grade 12.
Must teach during the 2020-2021 school year in a public or private school in the Walla Walla Valley.
A teacher whose method of teaching is tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
A teacher with the ability to inspire students of all backgrounds and to reach their full potential.
A teacher who exemplifies creativity, enthusiasm, commitment and development of a positive
learning environment.
A teacher who has made significant contributions in education and work with future leaders.
A teacher who constantly goes “above and beyond”.
Not a previous recipient of this award.
