We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Golf Course Mechanic/Equipment Manager to maintain and repair our new John Deere and middle-aged Toro fleet of turf maintenance equipment. The ideal candidate brings a mechanical mindset with a proactive attitude and values being part of a team. Additional general maintenance or “handy man” abilities are highly desired and will be valued as part of your contribution to the club and reflected in your compensation.Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all golf course equipment including mowers, tractors, utility carts, blowers, and small engine tools
- Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Sharpen reels and blades with precision and consistency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records for all equipment
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently at all times
- Order and maintain parts and tool inventories as needed
- Assist in training operators on safe and effective equipment use
- Collaborate with Golf Course Superintendent on equipment needs and schedules
- Perform general maintenance and repairs around the club as needed and within your skill set
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a golf course or small engine mechanic
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to operate turf equipment for testing and quality control
- Welding/fabrication experience a plus
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license required
