"Autism 101" Free seminar presented by Kathleen Gilmore
“Autism 101”, is a free seminar that will be presented by Kathleen Gilmore, who has taught autism for years, has her Master’s Degree in Education, is a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and LMHCA (Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate).
Some of the topics that will be covered are: New DSM – 5 diagnosis, a little biology behind ASD, methods for interacting with individuals affected by an ASD, through the use of visuals, verbal’s and structure.
Who should attend this seminar? Caregivers, extended family, babysitters, emergency personnel, educators, nursing students and all community members interested in learning more about autism.
