Cima Weekend
A Reininger Cult Fave Ahhhh.....Cima. Not often available, but we were browsing through our library and found a surplus of past vintages. We knew we had to share these with you, hence Cima Weekend. What we'll be pouring: - 2001 Cima - 92 pts, The Wine Advocate - 2002 Cima - 90 pts, Wine Enthusiast - 2003 Cima - 91 pts, The Wine Advocate We'll also be pouring wines from our newest label, CPR - 2009 Petit Verdot and NV Red Wine. For those of you not familiar with Cima....first produced in 1999, Cima (which is Italian for summit and pronounced 'chee-ma') is a Sangiovese-based blend that includes Bordeaux grapes, typically Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. As Chuck so eloquently describes it, "Cima has been an 'Hmm...I wonder where this trail leads to' experience, an unintended diversion on a scenic byway off the Bordeaux freeway leading me on an incredible romantic journey with Sangiovese."
