Public Workshop Series: Food Preservation Basics
As our gardens start producing and farmers’ markets are flooded with fresh fruits and vegetables, it is time to start thinking about preserving the bounty for the coming year. This workshop will focus on the basics of home canning, and we will also take a brief look at drying, freezing, and fermenting foods. We will consider how home food preservation can help alleviate food waste in the United States. Whether you have never canned before, need a brief refresher, or want to expand your canning knowledge, there will be something for you at this workshop! Please call us at (509) 524-5218 with any questions. We hope to see you there!
